Sunday, Feb. 19 to Wednesday, Feb 22, 2012:
Please join us for our Annual Three Day Losar Prayers to help remove obstacles and create auspicious circumstances for the coming year, on behalf of all Sangha members and sentient beings.
This year, we will be doing an abbreviated schedule of prayers with English transliteration and translation. Everyone is welcome to attend.

If you have time, and would like to help support the Losar Mahakala practice by cooking, we are in need of a breakfast cook breakfast for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. If you can help for any of those days, please let us know. We really appreciate it!

We are open to the our members and the general public for meditation and prayers on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
This month is also the Tibetan New Year (Losar), and we will be holding our Annual 4-Day Losar Program from February 19th to 22nd.

Practice at KKC is typically conducted in Tibetan, using texts that include the English transliteration as well as translation.
Everyone is welcome! Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to practice start time.
Mondays:
7:30 am: Green Tara Practice...for protection from fear & danger and fulfillment of wishes
7:00 p.m. Chenrezig Practice...for Compassion.
Mahakala Practice... for protection.
Wednesdays:
7:30 am: White Tara Practice...for Long Life.
7:00 pm: Medicine Buddha Practice...for protection from the suffering of illness and negative forces.
Fridays:
7:30 am: Fire Puja
7:00 pm: Chenrezig Practice...for Compassion.
Mahakala Practice... for protection.
Sundays:
Shamata Meditation...for mental calm and peace.
King of Aspiration...as led by H.H. 17th Karmapa every year at the Kagyu Monlam in Bodhgaya, for world peace.

Led by Lama Tsultrim, a small handful of sangha members are providing meals for 21 monks doing 3 Year Retreat at Kalu Rinpoche's monastery in Sonada (until Jan 2013).
Helping to support dedicated Dharma practitioners has many immediate as well as tremendous long-term benefits. Your generosity and merit are multiplied many times over in this life and future lives.

KDOL Open For Personal and Private Retreats!
We’re very happy to announce that we have found a caretaker for the retreat land at KDOL for the winter months. This means that KDOL will be available for personal retreats until the end of March. There will be some changes however:
1) Niguling, Naroling (the women and men's retreat facilities) and the outer cabins will remain closed during the winter.
2) The two main buildings, Sukkhaling and Kacholing, only will be available for retreat.
3) Retreatants will have to cook for themselves as no cook will be available.
4) Transportation will be available if needed. On non-shopping days (shopping day to be determined soon) there will be a charge of $20.00 (one way) for transportation.
5) To book a retreat either send an email to kdol268@gmail.com or leave a message at 250-380-8610. Email is the preferred mode of communication.
6) The rates for retreat will be $18.00/night; $234 for 14 nights and $450.00 for 28 nights.

Annual 2012 Membership Renewal
A Gentle Reminder that It’s that time again!
Your Membership in Kagyu Kunkhyab Chuling supports Dharma teaching and meditation
practice locally, by helping us: support our Lamas, provide programs and print texts. It also provides ground for His Eminence Kalu Rinpoche’s continuing visits to British Columbia.
KKC Memberships are for each calendar year, due in January and renewable annually. Payment can be made with 12 post-dated cheques or in a lump sum.
Individual membership: $180 per year, or $15 per month.
Family membership: $240 per year, or $20 per month.
In addition to these annual or monthly dues, new members, individual or family,
pay a one-time initiation fee of $20.
Charitable Donation receipts for claiming on income tax returns are issued once a year, before the end of February. In order to receive tax credit receipt for gifts, all donations must be payable to KKC (Kagyu Kunkhyab Chuling), which is a registered Canadian charitable organization.
