Venerable Lama Tsultrim
Lama Tsultrim was born in Mabu, Nepal. At the age of 10, he joined Samdrub Dargay Choling Monastery, Sonada and took ordinary and full ordained monk's vows from the late His Eminence Kalu Rinpoche.
After completing studies according to the monastery's syllabus and receiving all the instructions and empowerment in the Shangpa Kagyu tradition, he joined Kunsang Dechen Osel Ling Retreat Centre, Sonada, to do Three Year Retreat under the spiritual guidance of H.E. Kalu Rinpoche and Very Venerable Lama Lorang Rinpoche. He successfully completed the retreat in 1991, and took up various responsibilities including Vajra Master of both Samdrub Dhargay Choling and Drodon Kunchab Chodey monasteries, so he is well versed in studies, contemplation and meditation of the Shangpa Kagyu Tradition.
In 2001 he was invited to Kagyu Kunkhyab Chuling in Canada, as the Resident Teacher and in 2004, H.E. Kalu Rinpoche appointed him to the position of Senior Spiritual Teacher.
Lama Tenzin 2015-
Lama Tenzin was born in Nepal and joined Samdrub Dhargay Choling Monastery, Sonada in 1989. He received ordinary and full-ordained monks vows from the previous Kyabje Bokar Rinpoche and like Lama Tsultrim, he completed the monastery's syllabus and received all the instructions and empowerments in the Shangpa Kagyu tradition. He joined the three-year retreat centre at Lava, near Kalimpong, India, under the guidance of H.E. Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche. In 2012, Lama Tenzin successfully completed the retreat and took up various responsibilities, including Chanting Master ("omze") and Vajra Master ("Dorje Lopon") along with many other tasks at the Salagura Stupa Drodon Kunchab Chodey.
In 2015, Lama Tenzin was invited to Canada, as the Resident Teacher at KDOL, KKC's Retreat Centre on Saltspring Island.
